Eli got up early and went out woodcock hunting with the dogs. He did take the camera, but rarely gets it out. Luckily, I got a few shots of these funny looking birds when he got home. Once he got home, we needed to get around and go see about some Hemlock boards for siding. So he cleaned his solitary woodcock and the kids asked for it for lunch.
In house news, there is work being done everyday…..it’s just not as easy to see anymore. A lot of little things going on, like running the electrical conduit from the pole where the solar panels will be mounted and readying the insulated tubing for the woodstove.
We rode over to Rushford to look at some siding that we think we might go with. It was a nice scenic, fall drive. The kids even stayed calm in the car! Now that’s a feat! On our way home, we stopped at a consignment shop to peruse furniture for the new home. There wasn’t anything outstanding there, but I did find an awesome old version of Candyland! I’ve been meaning to buy that game for Summer, but I’m really glad that I procrastinated until I came across this jewel! It is really in pretty good condition. So tonight before bed, my little girl played her first board game…..and won!!
