Banjo had her first NAVHDA hunt test this weekend. The “puppy test” is a way to prove their natural ability, hence the name. Pups are tested in Use of nose, Search (for birds), Water, Pointing, Tracking (down a pheasant with it’s flight feathers pulled), Desire to work, and Cooperation. Banjo scored a perfect score, a 112!
Field work in the early morning
Banjo's biggest fan!
As serious as the testing is, it's still a family friendly atmosphere!
A junior handler in the making.......
And last but not least, heading home with a sleepy boy and a happy dog......
