Conversations: A place to chronicle all of the wonderful words that spill from my children’s lips.
John is fairly obsessed with hunting in all aspects at this point. He is usually sporting camo from head to toe, is carrying some sort of binoculars, pretend weapon, camo back pack, and/or earmuffs. All of this must be readied and in place before leaving the house for anything. Anything. You never know when you’ll see a deer.
John (at the breakfast table): Mama! I can’t eat that peanut butter because if I do then them deer will, like, [s]mell it on my breath and [s]ee it on my face and then them will [s]ee me and stomp (actually stomping his own foot) and then, like, run away. But, if I’m wearing camo them won’t [s]ee me and them won’t [s]mell it and it will make them [s]top and then I can [sh]oot them………..and that’s my constellation.
Yep, that’s his constellation. He retold the story later in the night and again used the word constellation. Can someone decipher and tell me what word he’s thinking of?? I can’t for the life of my imagine what he means!!
And yes, if you want it in true native John tongue, omit all the s’s please! It makes it even better!!
